Saleh Al Tayyar oversees the entire mining value chain at SGR from exploration and feasibility studies to project development, commissioning, operations, and asset optimization. Under his leadership, complex, capital-intensive projects have been delivered on time and within budget, supported by strong governance, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

His portfolio includes flagship national assets such as the Khnaiguiyah Project, the Mansourah Massarah Gold Autoclave (POx) Project, and the Ad’Duwayhi Gold Mine, along with major downstream initiatives like the Copper/Zinc Smelter in Yanbu and multiple Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) plants. These projects strengthen local supply chains, enhance in-Kingdom value addition, and advance economic diversification and localization goals under Vision 2030.
