Jonathan has more than 12 years’ experience in general management, strategy and venture building in the mining and technology sectors. Appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer in October 2024, Cordero brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to SGR's operations. As CEO, Cordero is spearheading SGR's efforts to modernise its operations and expand its portfolio. He is committed to driving growth while prioritising sustainability and responsible mining practices.

Prior to joining SGR, Cordero served as Head of Corporate Development at mining giant Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), where he oversaw regional expansion programmes and strategic innovation initiatives. His extensive background in the industry has equipped him with a strong track record in driving operational excellence, corporate growth, and technological innovation.

Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Management from HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management, graduating with honours. He also completed an exchange programme at Management Development Institute in India.
